Archives Unleashed Cloud: A Powerful Web Archive Analysis Portal

The Archives Unleashed Project aims to lower barriers to access so that researchers and scholars can work with Web Archive content. Our recent launch of the Archives Unleashed Cloud moves us towards that goal!
The Archives Unleashed Cloud, or AUK, is an open source cloud-based analysis tool that helps researchers and scholars conduct web archive analysis. It is a component of the Archives Unleashed Project and supports the priorities of accessibility and usability of web archives by providing users a web-based front end portal to access the Archives Unleashed Toolkit.
It uses WASAPI to download web archive collections. Right now, this means that only Archive-It accounts are supported.
This past spring the first iteration of AUK was launched. The Cloud offers a suite of tools for ingesting and analyzing ARC and WARC files. Researchers are able to download derivative files, containing full text files, network information, and statistics on what is inside a collection. We also provide full documentation and learning resources to help users fully explore their web collections.
Docs Galore
Over the summer months the team has updated AUK documentation, and implemented a series of learning guides which walk through examples of using AUK derivative files for additional analysis methods. Our team would like to say a special thanks to Sarah McTavish, a PhD Candidate at the University of Waterloo, who developed the AUK Learning Guides.

To date, AUK has seen 49 users, processed 1589 jobs and has analyzed close to 100TB of web archive data. Currently, those who maintain an Archive-It account can use AUK to work with and explore their web archives collections, however, the AUT team is looking at ways to expand future functionality of AUK users.
